Paul Repetto, CEO
After graduating from MIT, Mr. Repetto spent 18 years in the advertising business in Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. During his career, he was responsible for work on DuPont’s Teflon and Lucite, Mazda, Kleenex and Huggies, and a host of other well known brands. He headed the agency’s strategy board.
With a partner, Mr. Repetto acquired a small manufacturer of snack products. After a successful run of new products and a merger, it became the leading producer of granola and fruit bars. After three years as President of Westbrae Natural Foods in Los Angeles, Paul co-founded Horizon Organic Dairy in 1991, still the largest milk brand, conventional or organic, in the country. The company had a successful IPO in 1998, was sold to Dean Foods in 2004, and is now a major component of White Wave Foods.
Mr. Repetto was a founding partner and serves on the Investment Committee of Greenmont Capital Partners, a venture capital fund based in Boulder, Colorado.
Mr. Repetto was a founding member of the Organic Foods Alliance and served on the board of the Organic Trade Association. He served on the board of E-TOWN, the National Public Radio program, and as President of the Colorado Music Festival. Paul has been a guest lecturer at University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as Yale, Northwestern and USC among others. He lives with his wife Janet Pyle in Boulder, Colorado
Dan Minardi, President/CTO
Mr. Minardi has been involved in designing and manufacturing hundreds of consumer, commercial and medical products for three decades. These products include a proprietary IR nuclear imaging controller, an RF personal tracking system, a low profile mammography system, and a neurological muscle stimulator. He was directly involved in the filing of over 50 patent applications including numerous provisional applications.
In 1980, Mr. Minardi served as a Senior Design Engineer for Dakin 5 Corporation, where he developed PC game titles as well as the first accounting system for small businesses sold under the Apple label. At TG Products, he was the Director of Product Development, managing the development of PC game titles and game controllers including the first trackball sold for gaming applications. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Minardi worked at Linear Corporation and Inovonics Corp. where he designed several radio frequency security products and systems for medical, residential and commercial applications.
Mr. Minardi co-founded Clear Blue Engineering in 1996 and served as President of the company from its inception to 2006. Clear Blue Engineering was recognized by Deloitte and Touche as one of the top 50 Colorado Technology companies four consecutive years (2002 – 2005), and in 2002, recognized as one of the top 500 technology companies nationwide.
In 2005, Mr. Minardi identified the opportunity potential in technology initially developed by Northeast Ohio Medical University (formerly NEOUCOM) and Kent State University. In 2006, Mr. Minardi co-founded Pathogen Systems, now known as Crystal Diagnostics.
